Try your Luck

First of All, Let me take this opportunity to wish you all and your families a Very Happy and GREAT DIWALI.

I'm also gonna have a blast this Diwali, since after so many years my parents are also joining me this year…Hey Guys, I am planning another trip this November to Delhi to meet my old pals , I'm really excited for that too;

Searching for some affordable tickets (assuming Low cost party is still on )….

Through surfing,  come across many offers like…

Air tickets at Rs.6/- by Air Deccan
Air tickets at Rs.999/- by SpiceJet
Indigo offers tickets at Rs.499/-
Goair offers tickets with the same price of train AC 2nd Tair.

Can't able to believe; whether its a myth or reality or any Marketing Gimmick.

Inspite of the recent news in all news papers that all the airlines have increased their fares, reason given increase in fuel charges across the Globe.

Its hard to believe inspite of all that, these arlines are still offering such low rates & mind you when you start searching for these rates, you will never get one deal.

The way  we have lot of such shows on  TV where you can buy something  worth 50K in just one ruppee by just sending a sms to them with the lowest bid.Has ever anyone got such deal ? none to my knowledge. Are these airlines also following the same pattern ?

whom to believe ? should I still try my luck.....???????

Is low-cost party over?

The day is not far of, when we all will be traveling by Bullock cart. That is the only mode of traveling in a group and which does not require FUEL. My wife is sitting next to me and yelling add Camel ride as well…

The way Fuel charges are increasing today, the day is not far of that we all have to go back to our ancient days.

I was reading the other day that Jet and Deccan has increased their tickets price to 600 to 750, which means its close to 26% hike (normal price tag for Deccan is Rs. 2900/-)

They are just rubbing salt on our wounds practically every month from last 3 months, it was 300 then 500 then 650 and now Rs. 750/-.

Who is making the most of it?

To me this party is finally over.

Flying - Luxury??

Flying - Luxury? Nonsense. Who says? In the last couple of years domestic air travel in India has ceased to be luxury anymore. Have you seen local business men traveling with goods in plastic bags, working / studying kids rushing home for the weekend, corporate professionals rushing to attend meetings and back by night fall??

Can all these categories be clubbed as luxury travel? Only the thrift airlines have made travel so easy for a large section of the Indian population that the segment has clearly lifted itself from the luxury category. Then why taxes on air turbine fuel in India are highest in India? The Government imposes high tax on airlines, because it takes it as luxury. Should low cost airlines like Spice Jet, Air Deccan etc be treated as Luxury? When flying cost has literally become equal to traveling by train (in some cases much cheaper than train travel as well) why the tax? The revolution brought by the low cost airlines has brought a turnaround in domestic travel market, the economy pattern and lifestyle as well, for the betterment, then why should the Government not support modernization and enhance lifestyle patterns which prompts a upswing?

Corporates & citizens can take path breaking decisions and initiate businesses, but the Government must equally support such initiatives to make it a collective victory for all.
